Leadership transition positions BandLab Technologies for its next stage of global growth
SINGAPORE; 30 SEPTEMBER 2026 — BandLab Technologies, the leading music technology company behind BandLab, Cakewalk, ReverbNation, Airbit, and Aiode, today announced the appointment of Ivan Chen as Chief Executive Officer, starting October 1st. Meng Ru Kuok, who has served as Chairman and CEO since co-founding the company in 2015, becomes Executive Chairman.
Chen joined BandLab Technologies in 2016 as Chief Operating Officer and became President in 2024. He has been instrumental in expanding the company into a global portfolio of music technology businesses, working with Kuok across operations, fundraising, strategic direction, and M&A.
As CEO, Chen will lead BandLab Technologies day to day and oversee its next stage of growth, while Kuok will remain actively involved, working closely with Chen on long-term strategy, major partnerships, opportunities, and investment priorities. Kuok remains Group CEO of parent company Caldecott Music Group, where Chen also continues as Group President.
